Apostle Emmanuel Iren has addressed one of the most frequently debated topics among Christians, whether women should wear trousers and lipstick, offering what he described as a balanced, Bible-based perspective during a recent teaching.
In the video, the Celebration Church International founder responded to questions surrounding women’s appearance, particularly the use of trousers and makeup. He argued that Scripture should be interpreted carefully rather than through assumptions or cultural traditions.
Addressing the issue of trousers, Iren noted that the biblical instruction against wearing garments associated with the opposite sex should be understood within its proper context.

According to him, women’s trousers are distinct from men’s clothing and should not automatically be viewed as a violation of biblical teaching.
He also dismissed the notion that wearing lipstick or moderate makeup is inherently sinful, emphasizing that the Bible places greater importance on a believer’s character, purity and modesty than on cosmetic choices.
While encouraging Christians to dress decently and avoid immodesty, the preacher stressed that outward appearance should never overshadow the inward transformation that defines genuine faith.
Women Shouldn’t Wear Trousers
His remarks have since generated widespread discussion on social media, with many applauding what they described as a balanced interpretation of Scripture, while others continued to defend more conservative views on Christian dressing.
