Lifestyle coach and wellness advocate Bunmi George has sparked conversation after offering a different perspective on the idea of “generational curses.”
In a recent video, George suggested that what many people describe as generational curses may, in some cases, be recurring behavioral patterns passed down through families.
She explained that certain habits, attitudes and responses can be learned within the family environment and repeated across generations, making them appear as though they are rooted in a supernatural curse.

According to her, recognizing these patterns can be an important step toward breaking cycles that may have affected different members of a family over time.
Her comments have generated discussions about the relationship between family upbringing, personal behavior and beliefs surrounding generational challenges.
Generational Curses Are Behavioral Patterns
The topic remains particularly relevant in Nigerian society, where spiritual explanations for recurring family difficulties are common, while others increasingly emphasize psychology, environment and learned behavior as possible factors.
