AWARD WINNING RADIO PERSONALITY SABINA BEATS CANCER! SAYS “GOD GAVE ME A TESTIMONY THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LIE”!

TRAUMA FROM CHEMOTHERAPY AND THE AFTERMATH OF CHEMOTHERAPY: My treatment plan was designed for a CURE, not management. My oncologist, my surgeons, my daughter, and I chose the aggressive path of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Still, as a believer in divine healing, I constantly prayed, “Lord, remove me from any plan not approved by You.” In May 2025, chemotherapy nearly broke me. I was in and out of the hospital, too weak, and couldn’t eat, drink, or stand. Hitting one thousand calories a day felt like war. I missed my laughter. I missed myself. With my daughter beside me, I tearfully agreed to try one more cycle. I was afraid. I wanted to quit. But I also wanted the PROOF OF TESTIMONY I had asked God for. My 52nd birthday came on the 8th of June 2025 in the middle of the storm. I could barely walk. My hair began falling out. All I wanted was to sing to Yahweh. Debbie and Temmy took me to Tosin Paul’s studio, and with a faint breath, I sang my heart out in the Esan language. That was enough for me. But Debbie gathered a few of my friends, and they all gave me a private celebration. I even danced. Thank you, Minister Funke Akinokun. The Tijanis, Oluyinka Davids, Iyanu, Temmy and Joseph, Zarah, Dr. Sandra, the Olusojis, Jannie and Anthony, Danita, Regina, and my brother Frank. You lifted me when I could not lift myself.
On June 11th, 2025, before my second chemo, I asked Debbie to cut what was left of my dreadlocks. She cried; she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Temmy did it. Debbie wept. I consoled her. As my hair fell, the reality hit us all. I didn’t care about beauty anymore—I just wanted to live. The second cycle was still brutal, but the grow factor shot helped. I survived on protein shakes. Debbie became my full-time caregiver assisted by my brother Frank, who worked from home. My siblings prayed and fasted regularly. My PRealm family and my church community prayed ceaselessly. Then God delivered me from fear and depression. Peace returned before strength did. By the fourth cycle, my oncologist said it was enough; she couldn’t bear to see me suffer anymore. Truth be told, chemotherapy was going to kill me faster than cancer! My surgery date was moved twice. Jeremiah 29:11 anchored me. Peace settled in my heart. MIRACLE THREE: I SURVIVED CHEMOTHERAPY!
Let me digress a bit. In the middle of pain, I began to paint. I am not an artist, yet chemotherapy poured out of me onto canvas. It became therapy. It became worship. Someday soon, I will show the world how chemotherapy made me an artist!
AFTER CHEMOTHERAPY/BEFORE SURGERY: This season felt strange. My body needed time to recover, but my mind was racing ahead. My oncologist and my surgeon insisted I slow down—my side effects had gone beyond expectations. My strength was returning… but not fully. I wasn’t as weak as before, yet not strong enough to live normally. I kept painting. I forced gratitude. I fought anxiety with Phil 4:6, Matt 6:34, and Psalms 23 on repeat in my spirit.
Then October 7th, 2025, arrived. Before 5am, my sister Pastor Gladys Tijani picked Debbie and me up. Frank was already waiting at the hospital. By 7am, I went in for one final test to convince my surgeons that this “God waylaid this aggressive cancer from spreading!” Glory to God. At 8:30am, I was wheeled into the theatre. Dr Jesus took over for five hours. I had a successful bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Both surgeons said it was smooth sailing. When I woke up, my heart overflowed with worship. That was the day I knew I had a new life. God preserved me through every fragile phase. It made no medical sense. But I am here.

POST SURGERY AND OPEN WOUNDS: Recovery wasn’t easy. For months, from Dec. 2025 until April 2026, I battled open wounds. Debbie, Frank, Pastor Kings, Pastor Gladys, and Dr. Sandra stood with me alongside my surgeons. My mobility was limited, but we won. The wounds finally closed—even the one that reopened eventually closed up. My wound care phase was not fun at all. Fast forward to radiation—every day for four weeks. It was intense, but I came out with a certificate!
PRAYER SUPPORT: My siblings, nephews and nieces, The New Generation Bible Church Nigeria, Go Church Texas, The Transforming Church Texas, and my ministry PRealm carried me in prayer. Across continents, selected friends and brethren interceded. Go Church’s continuous prayer line strengthened me. My siblings fasted relentlessly. Thank you, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Anthonia Elomobor, Rev. Dr. Sam Eboigbe, Rev. Sam Oye, Pastor Mary Oye, Pastor Lee, Pastor TJ, Pastor Kings, Pastor Gladys, Apostle Violet, Pastor Angela, Pastor Kevin King, and Pastor Morris. Your prayers held me up when my body could not.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: I have been out of active work for almost 2 years now. Debbie was my full-time caregiver, she too was out of work for almost a whole year! Every appointment required her presence. Yet our home stood! God used my siblings to carry us. And in critical moments, He raised destiny helpers: my god-family. The Akinokuns, Anita Ugo, Oluyinka Davids, Tobi Alapo, Dr. Susan, Dr. Sandra, Pastor Kings, Chika Obodozie, Pastor Gladys, and Pastor TJ stepped in when it mattered most. I acknowledge the Jewels of TTC Texas, Dr. Stacy, Pas. Deborah Odioko, Funto and her mom MummyRebecca, Aunty Tope Ojo, Pas. Angela and my dear friend Yetunde. We kept my diagnosis within a small circle until this testimony became ready as a kingdom tool.
MIRACLE FOUR: Philippians 4:19 became my reality during this season! CRITICALLY SICK WITH NO PERSONAL SOURCE OF INCOME, GOD SUSTAINED ME. Rent. Bills. Needs. All met. Through people. Prov 16:9. Matt 6:26. He fed me. For months I could barely eat, yet our homes overflowed with groceries and cooked meals. My taste buds rebelled—everything tasted like metal. But a village studied my cravings like a science project. Lady Perp my biological sister would fly in, cook, and fly back to LA the next day. Church sisters and friends helped me fight to taste again. Sister Deborah Adepoju, sister Mayowa, Sister Ope Akerele—your meals were medicine. When all I wanted was amala and ewedu, Sister Funke Akinokun and Pastor Gladys made it happen. My brother Frank’s catfish pepper soup was the best.
SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MY DAUGHTER: My daughter’s life went on pause so mine could continue. Debbie was with me every single step. When I could not care for myself, she did—tenderly, quietly, without complaint. She prayed me out of the claws of death more times than I can count. She fought battles—spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, and financial—that were far bigger than her… and she did not move. She stood. At night, she would wake up multiple times to check if I was still breathing. She anointed me with oil. She called my name back to life. When I was too tired to believe, she believed for me. My late parents, Rev. And Deaconess Alfred and Winifred Okhalagbe, and my father in the Lord the late Bishop Godwin Elomobor always said Debbie is a dozen children in one. They were right. Debbie, you were my eyes when I couldn’t see, my mouth when I couldn’t speak, my legs when I couldn’t walk. For the sleepless nights. For the silent tears. For the spiritual transactions you made on my behalf. For the days you wanted a break but chose me instead—thank you. For the moments you stepped out of your comfort zone to seek help and felt embarrassed, I say to you as your mother: “I take all rub body.” To everyone who held my daughter up when she was holding me—Sister Funke Akinokun, Tobi Alapo, Temmy Oddy, Pas. Gladys, Dr. Susan, Iyanu, Zarah, Steve, Lady Assa, Adesua Peter, Tim Godfrey, Seraph, and Yoan—THANK YOU. My brother Frank, not one day did you make me feel like a burden. You cooked for me knowing I might not eat. You drove endlessly to hospitals without complaint. I saw your sacrifice. I am grateful. LadyP, you left LA again and again just to look at my face and hold me. That love cannot be repaid. To my siblings who were not physically present—Mummy Flora, baba Larry, mama Hetty, Barrister Collins and Pastor KK—there is nothing caring siblings are meant to do that you did not do. “Bharevbhe obulu obulu”. I am deeply grateful.
MEDICAL BILLS: Being out of work meant carrying some of the financial weight on my own but help came. A special thank you to Mr. Joseph Ojukwu my health insurance broker! My copayments were heavy, and they are still ongoing. Without my siblings, it would have crushed me. Again and again, they showed up.
MY MENTAL HEALTH: My mind went through waves. When strength slowly returned, restlessness replaced weakness. I wanted to earn again. I didn’t want anyone worrying about me. I began to feel like a burden. Anxiety crept back in. I was rushing—trying to “restart” my life—while my body was still healing and I could barely keep up with appointments. I have always been the provider, the organiser, the helper. Receiving help started to feel uncomfortable. That thinking almost robbed me of my peace. It shifted me from gratitude to panic. It disrupted what God was quietly doing in me. Sister Funke Akinokun pulled me back into gratitude when I almost spiralled. I was reminded of the magnitude of what God brought me through!
GIFT OF MEN: I had chosen not to go public with my diagnosis. I could have. It might have been easier to gather sympathy or support. But instead, within a small circle, God gave me something greater—the gift of men. Throughout this journey I was carried spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially by family and friends. GOD RAISED ME AN ARMY. Some of you were divinely assigned to me. If it ever felt heavy, it’s because heaven trusted you with me. And your reward is sure. James 2:14. Hebrews 13:16. Gal 6:9. For forty-three out of my fifty-three years, I have served God and served people. In my season of weakness, He sent people to serve me. God is a Rewarder. Today I pray for you publicly: you will never be stranded in Jesus name. Before you call, God will answer. In every season, help will locate you. You will not cry sorrowful tears. You will not suffer loss. You will not lose your salvation in Christ Jesus. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your seeds.
PROOF OF TESTIMONY: Now that I am well, I ask myself—did I truly understand what I was asking for when I said, “Lord, give me PROOF OF TESTIMONY”? Recently Debbie and I talked about it. We realized my request was far bigger than I imagined. Maybe that is why my healing journey took such a distinctive turn. Christians, we must be careful what we ask for—God answers, but not always conveniently. My story carries many layers: supernatural provision, divine timing, divine healing, help from unexpected places, medicine as a divine tool, miraculous sustenance. Then came October 21st 2025. Debbie and I were waiting for my first post-surgery appointment. Doctor Monalisa Alatar walked in with her assistant Dr. Kevin. No small talk. She handed me a paper. My hands trembled—I couldn’t read it. Debbie grabbed it. She screamed. “Zero this! Zero that!” That was all I heard. In my hands was the PROOF OF TESTIMONY I asked God for on the 25th of March 2025. Scientific proof. Medical proof. GOD UNITED FAITH AND MEDICINE TO DO IT. How else would they believe if He didn’t leave an evidence? That document is more than a paper. It is a weapon against darkness.
MY MENTAL HEALTH PART 2:
April 20th 2026 my beloved eldest sister Flora passed! This happened right in the centre of me trying to return to active life after beating cancer! My world shattered before me. I went into the bottomless dark hole of depression! Words fail me to describe the pain. I had looked forward to celebrating in person with her but life happened! From beating CANCER TO LOSS, GRIEF AND DEPRESSION! The devil thought he had me on a chokehold! Maybe he did, BUT GOD!!!!! Again and again, BUT GOD!!!!!! I will share more about this in the future. The testimony is that I’m here all glory to God!
CURRENT SITUATION: On the 24th of August 2026, Sabina D’Great rang the final bell to beating Cancer in the presence of her oncologist, Dr Monalisa Alatar, Dr. Kevin and all my chemotherapy nurses and loved ones! HALLELUJAH! Chemotherapy, surgery, Radiation and Immunotherapy, ALL DONE! My breast specialist and surgeon Dr. Saunders has cleared me. My Radiologist Dr. Pham has cleared me at the Precision Cancer Center Katy Houston, and I rang the bell! Today holding medical proofs of zero cancer I now before my God YAHWEH.
My voice is stronger now. I’m open to partnerships and collaborations that could benefit anyone who needs the message of hope. Call me if you need someone to speak to people of all ages and colours, secular and gospel platforms, people with abilities or disabilities, I am available and willing to share my story! Perfect Realm Worship Ministries, Deborah-David Care Aide Network, Sabina Alfred Media, The Alfred-Winifred Women Foundation, Pennet Services and Joyful Connections, are all expressions of one woman who intends to carry this testimony and fire across borders. This proof/evidence was not given to me to keep. It was given to me to use for the Kingdom mandate on my head. I share this testimony with the world today for two reasons: for you to THANK GOD with me and to reiterate that our God heals! He may use a route you are not familiar with, but YAHWEH HEALS!
This is my testimony—a testimony that might sound like a lie, but it is real, it is raw, and it is divine. I urge you to serve God harder than ever and boldly declare the miracles. He has done in your life. He is real. He is faithful. He never fails His own. FROM AGGRESSIVE CANCER TO CANCER FREE —SDG
