Pastor Charles Osazuwa, has challenged the Nigerian church to consider whether it can raise globally successful talents without exposing them to the negative influences often associated with the entertainment industry.

Speaking in a recent video, Pastor Osazuwa used Nigerian music stars Burna Boy and Wizkid as examples while questioning whether the church has the capacity to identify, nurture and promote exceptional talents within its congregation.

“If we have a Burna Boy or Wizkid in church, can we make them stars without corruption?” he asked.

The pastor’s question centred on the responsibility of the church to develop young people with exceptional abilities and provide structures that can help them succeed while maintaining their values and integrity.

His comments also touched on the wider relationship between Christianity, entertainment and popular culture, particularly the challenge of young Christian talents navigating an industry that can expose them to pressures and influences that may conflict with their beliefs.

Osazuwa, who leads RACAi in Benin City, Edo State, is known for his teachings on faith, personal development and prosperity. He has also previously spoken publicly about the need for churches to become more financially capable so they can support members and advance their missions.
