– Nigeria Has No Calling For Revival – Dr. Abel Damina Says
Dr. Abel Damina has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Apostle Arome Osayi’s comments about Nigeria’s spiritual calling, rejecting the idea that the country has a unique assignment to take revival to the world.
In a recent video, Damina argued that the Bible does not give any particular nation a special spiritual calling, stressing that the mandate to preach the gospel belongs to the entire body of Christ. He referenced Ephesians 4:4 in making his point.
“There is no such calling. No such calling to any nation. The entire body of Christ has a calling to preach the gospel to every creature,” Damina said.

The preacher also addressed the wider controversy involving Arome and social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), particularly the backlash surrounding comments about Arome’s facial palsy.
Damina questioned what he described as double standards among Christians, arguing that ministers who publicly scrutinise other preachers should also be open to scrutiny themselves.
He further called for Christians to respond to disagreements with humility and to examine teachings against Scripture rather than simply defending ministers because of their positions.

Damina’s comments come as the disagreement between Arome and VDM continues to generate reactions from several Christian voices and commentators.
