– Prudent Gabriel Marries Before Elder Sister – Says She Felt Bad
Nigerian fashion designer Prudent Gabriel Okopi, wife of gospel singer Peterson Okopi, has revealed that she felt bad, as she marries before her immediate elder sister.
Prudent made the revelation while recounting the emotional conversation she had with her sister before her wedding, explaining that she wanted to ensure her decision would not hurt her sister or create tension in their relationship.
According to the designer, she contacted her elder sister before her husband fixed their wedding date to ask if she was comfortable with her getting married first.
“I got married before my immediate elder sister and before my husband fixed the date, I called my sister, because I was feeling bad,” she said.

Prudent explained that she asked her sister if she was comfortable with the arrangement and even offered to postpone the wedding until the following year, stressing that neither she nor her husband was in a hurry.
She also expressed concern about whether her sister’s partner was ready for marriage, noting that she wanted to be considerate of her sister’s situation.
However, her elder sister reassured her and encouraged her to proceed with the marriage, telling her that the union would be a blessing to her.
Prudent said her sister understood that she and her husband were ready to take the next step in their relationship, while her sister’s partner was not yet prepared for marriage.
Despite receiving her sister’s blessing, the fashion designer admitted that she still felt bad about getting married before her.
