– Uebert Angel Pays $2 Million Debt Owed By Sir Wicknell Chivayo
Zimbabwean preacher Prophet Uebert Angel has pledged to pay up to $2 million towards verified debts allegedly left behind by late businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo.
Angel made the announcement during a church service on Sunday, October 25, 2026, saying he was willing to help settle legitimate claims from individuals who could provide convincing evidence that the late businessman owed them money.
The pledge comes amid reports that Chivayo, who died in a helicopter crash alongside his wife, Lucy Muteke, and other victims on September 30, 2026, had outstanding payments linked to luxury vehicles supplied by car dealerships.

Speaking to his congregation, Angel explained that his offer would be subject to strict verification and would cover only a limited number of creditors. He reportedly indicated that he was considering claims from two individuals and had arranged meetings to assess their cases.
Angel also cautioned against drawing conclusions about the late businessman’s financial position before his estate had been fully assessed. He argued that outstanding debts should be considered alongside the assets the businessman left behind.
The preacher’s decision has attracted attention on social media, with reactions ranging from praise for his willingness to assist creditors to questions about the public nature of the announcement.
