– The Believers Authority Part 3 | Bible News | By Alex D. Amos

“Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace! He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!” – Ephesians 2:5-6

This week, we continue our series on the Believer’s Authority and the last time, we started looking into the authority in the name of Jesus.

Quoting Apostle Arome Osayi of Remnant Christian Center, he emphasized that Philippians 2:9 says “At the name of Jesus…” not “At the mention of the name of Jesus.” This little disparity is actually very huge because many a person who do not even submit to the name of Jesus have exercised faith in the face of dire situation calling on the name out of fear and it almost seem as if the name is not as powerful on the lips of such a person as it should be.

This is because the “AT” makes us to know that the indication was towards a location. It is as we begin to perfect our fellowship with Jesus that we come into the realm of the Spirit where the faith we exercise when we call the name is not just mental accent but a result of experience we have had with Jesus.

The name of Jesus is a spirit location. It is as our fellowship becomes powerful and consistent that we come to that place and the spiritual blessings in that place are made available to us (Ephesians 1:3).

Therefore, if we say “we are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 3:6),” it should not just be a confession but a reality we have experienced from our fellowship with Jesus through His Spirit.

When we come to that place, all the authority given to Jesus is now given to us. This is because Just as Jesus has seated on God’s right hand (which is a position of righteousness and authority), we are also seated with Jesus in that position of authority and all the authority bestowed upon Jesus has now been bestowed upon us as well.
