“As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.”
-Deuteronomy 32:11
Few months before the very first major breakthrough in my career, (atleast, that was what it was then before becoming a ministry…LOL) I was at the lowest point in my life I cried like a baby, praying all sorts of negative prayers to God that I can’t even begin to talk about now.
God must have looked at me the way I cried and lamented, and be like “you’ve got to be kidding Me” because just a month later, I hit a major breakthrough and everything was alright… But for a little while before I hit the lows again.
Someone told me a story of how the eagle teaches its offspring to fly and I realize that’s what God has been doing with me.
Like the eagle, at some point, God will pick me up and take me to the heights, those are the times I relax and things are alright. Then all of a sudden, He’ll drop me and like the eagle, follow me steady- behind screaming spread your wings and fly, but that was the problem, I couldn’t spread my wings because I was crippled by sin, doubt, distrust, unstable faith amongst others. Therefore God had to catch me time and time again, take me back up and drop me while he thought me to fly.
Today I’m still learning to fly but unlike before, I can hear His voice behind me now so I’m not falling, I’m gliding and steadily reaching for greater heights.
Where are you in your flying lesson today? Are you dropping? Are you gliding, soaring or reaching for greater heights? No matter where you are, you can always count on the Trainer that no matter how hard the lesson gets, He’ll never let you crash land.
These Are My Thoughts…

Wow. Very moving story both from a religious stand point and an aviation stand point. No matter how many doors close in our faces their are reasons for that we might not see that reason right away but in time it will show itself. Thank you for sharing this and hopefully you will continue to soar!
