GOD WANTS TO HOLD AND TELL YOU IT WILL BE ALRIGHT

And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?”
– 1Kings 19:13

Hello people! I have not posted this week and believe me, it’s breaking my heart. I do not want to ever be too busy for God’s work so please uphold me in your prayers.

I have often wonder why God came to Elijah while he was hiding from Jezebel in boisterous wind and fire before speaking to him in to him in a still small voice.

While I may not understand that fully I will like to posit a theory based on experience.

Elijah is a very strong man of God. One who believed and walked with God so much that he was a fervent prayer warrior. But when trouble came, Elijah panicked and lost sight of God.

At that moment, God did not despise Elijah for being human, not at all. God wanted reach out to him and tell him everything was going to be alright. He wanted to console him and hold him and to tell him, “Elijah, this is not the end of the journey for you. You will make it from here and still so great exploit for Me.”

No wonder angels kept on bringing him food and telling him to eat that the journey is still far.

When you are going through, and the proud waters seem to want to swallow you up, when there is confusion everywhere, God is nearer than you know but like Peter, it’s you who have lost sight of him because you are looking at the storm.

No matter how hopeless and troubled you are today, I want you to know that God is trying to reach out to you, like He reached out to Peter and saved him from sinking. He wants to hold you and comfort you. He wants to tell you like He told Elijah “what are you doing in that place of worry? In that wilderness you’ve created for yourself to sit and worry? It will be alright and I know about what you are going through, and after the expiration of the necessary trying period, after your faith might have been strengthened, I will bring you out to your place of fulfillment where you will accomplish destiny.”

Please read the whole of 1Kings 19. God bless.
