DAILY BREAD: PUT ON JESUS – THE ANOINTING

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” – Isaiah 10:27 [KJV]

It’s one level of knowledge to recognise the fact that the yoke will be broken because of the anointing which may be as a result of laying of hands or literally anointing a person with oil for a certain manifestation of God’s spirit.

It’s a higher level of the knowledge to recognise Jesus as this anointing that has broken every yoke and now you can live freely.

‘Christ’ means the ‘anointed one,’ therefore as long as you abide in Christ, the annoiting function in your life to give you a higher life of freedom.

He said “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7). Oh what level of freedom, what level of life to put on Jesus, the anointing!

Prophet Isaiah may have been talking about the Lord lifting off the yoke of the Assyrians but he was projecting into the future because he started the next chapter talking about a rod that shall come out of the stem of Jesse – Jesus, the Holy One.

So you see? You too can catch the revelation of Isaiah 10:27 and move to a higher level of anointing. The oil is good but trust me, putting on Jesus is much more better.
