Talent hardly equals greatness. It’s like uncut diamonds, with great potential but not worth much at the time. Passion is like hot flames of fire, burning and burning, consuming all in its way. It can be destruction or it could be a bakery for gold.
Talent and passion are good but what you do with it is what determines what they become. I’ve looked around to see that not many people use what they’ve been given for the right reasons. One major reason I feel God has given us all He has is to be used as a channel of love for His people. Without love, we might as well be doing nothing. I often find myself thinking about being successful, getting to the top but then He stops and asks me “To what end?” Why should he make me successful if it does not change my world, or if it does not leave another life better than it was met?
Talent and passion can take us far but what makes us successful and great is the mixture of love to the formula. What we have in our hands are as uncut diamond and unbridled fire. It is up to us to get the best out of them, always putting love as the ultimate.
