Bible News: Enforcing Your Title Deed

And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do signs.” – Exodus 4:17

Yesterday we said the way to lay claim on faith is by having a title deed for the faith and not psyching oneself up for faith. Today, I want to talk about practical step to obtaining and enforcing one’s title deed.

We learned yesterday that the word of God came to Abraham and that was how he believed and it was counted to him for righteousness. The word is what comes first, after we have received the word the other part is ours – believing the word.

So in a giving situation, the first thing a Christian ought to do is to seek the will of God. Now many people confuse the will of God to mean whether God wants to give you what you want or not, the truth is that the book of John 14, 15, 16 make us understand that God wants to give us our desire, our part is to ask according to his word which is His will. God’s word is God’s will. The word is the written inheritance (will) which God has given to us. So in any situation, a Christian looks for the word of God that best address the situation as inspired by the Spirit of God and then hold on tight to that word until there is a physical manifestation.

When you have received the word of God – the title deed- it gives you an assurance that makes you engage in battle with victory in hand already because of the substance which comes with it and the revelation of the power that is in it. Therefore when praying against a challenge. You are not to look up to heaven and be asking God to come down (Romans 10:6), instead ask God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17) so as to know what he has already done concerning the situation which He will reveal to you through His word.
