There is a saying that failure has no excuse and success needs no alibi. When Adam was to give account to God on why he ate the forbidden fruit, he wanted to shift the blame to God by saying “the woman You gave me…” (Genesis 3:12) but God will have none of it.
If you succeed, it is your plus, if you fail, it is your fault! No one is exempted from the stigma that goes with not making a success with the gift God has placed in his hands just as no one is exempted from the honour that goes with the other hand.
The servant who hid his one talent tried to shift the blame of being unproductive to his master (Matthew 25:14-30) but the master wasn’t ready to listen to stories. Friend forget about your background, the financial constraints, health issues or who/what is standing in your way. If you stay focus on that, then the hindrance on your way will beat you to your own game!
Moses stood in front of a formidable obstacle – the red sea – all he had was a rod, yet God told him “why are you crying to me when you are supposed to stretch your rod”. Please friend, I need you to stand at a beach, hold a rod before it and try to fathom how a rod can divide a sea… Perhaps, if you keep beaten the rod against the water? Psych! Yet Moses divided the sea with what was in his hand. A rod!
Likewise friend, all you need for the next level is in your hands, right now, right where you are. When you need something else to move forward, God wouldn’t have delayed a second to provide it! Stop whining and get up!
