sokleva newPioneer Gospel Rapper Sokleva started a wildfire on his Facebook account with the topic Gospel Music Ministry vs Gospel Music Industry and the discussion has been stirring a lot of controversies. It all started when Sokleva Hughes opines that business is as much a ministry and alluded to Jesus Christ in his submission.

Sokleva inputs:

The sad thing about this whole Gospel Music Ministry vs Gospel Music Industry debate is the amount of confused artistes (especially upcoming) who wonder what is the right way to go.(Trust me these guys call and mail me E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y) Here’s all I’ll say, Business is as much a call as ministry is. I like that before Jesus called the disciples into ministry He gave them a breakthrough in business (let your nets down for a catch) so that today we would see that success in business glorifies Him just as much as success in ministry does. The Church is called to influence Popular Culture as much as it is called to win souls. There’s more I could say but I’ll leave it off here… For now.

The comment section of the post however is where the drama unfolded. While some agreed with the pioneer rapper, others are of a different opinion… with reasons. Let’s see some of the debate below:

Ransome West Jr., feels the comparison of Jesus’ ministry as a business is all together wrong… checkout his input;

There are more opinions shared on Sokleva’s page and you can contribute your 2 cents as well. However, we will say it like Paul said it, ‘pay (close) attention to your ministry!’ and like John said it ‘Beloved I wish that you will prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prosper’.
With that said, go enjoy some good Gospel tune… as a matter of fact, go listen to Sokleva’s “Fistful of Stones” but not before you add your own comment below!
