Bible News: In The Company Of Angels

“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” – Hebrews 12:22

We live in a part of the world where people believe in demons that they do angels! You tell a man he is being tormented by an evil spirit and he begins to run everywhere because he feels defeated and hopeless.

If a cat cries at night, it’s a bad omen, if a dog barks continuously, he is seeing some supernatural manifestation, if a cockroach climbs in your bed, it’s a monitoring spirit and if a bird flies and makes strange noise, oh you had better start casting and binding!

Tell a man that angels are standing around you even as you speak to him, he will start laughing or call you crazy because to him, it is too ordinary to be true. There is no bright light shining from heaven, no celestial choral group singing “Hallelujah” and no echoing voice so he doesn’t believe and therefore, finds it ridiculous but then again, there is no horn on the cat or dog’s head, no protruding canine, no dark cloud or a echoing voice making the wicked laugh “ha-ha-ha-ha”, yet he believes the presence of the demon but not the angels?

Let’s do a quick maths. When the devil fell from a heaven, he took with him one-third of the angels in heaven with him (Rev 12: 3-4) and they became the falling stars – that is demons. This means that he had 1/3 of the total population of angels to ‘de-angelize’ and make demons. Now if the devil only had 1/3 of the entire angels, how many angels are left in heaven?

The book of Hebrews 12:22 says the total population is innumerable, which means cannot be counted, so if there is to be a manifestation that is more consistent, shouldn’t the activities of the larger group be more than the lesser?

But the devil uses the fear tactics. It is his oldest trick and still is most potent but the same Hebrews tells us that it was for that very fear that Christ died so that they that have been in bondage because of the fear of death all their lives may be free from that bondage (Heb 2:15). So I will tell you like the bible says it, you are in the company of angels (Heb 12:22) all the time and if it is a company, that means they are more than one! You are in good company my friend!

The Lord said He will give the angels charge over you, and if Christ rules over your life, your angels are always there to minister to you so, allay your fears and realize that God has your back… always!
