In a video making rounds on social media, former Governor of Imo state and senator representing Imo West Senatorial district, Rochas Okorocha and family are spotted in their home worshipping God.

The family can be seen in the video reciting and worshipping God with Nathaniel Bassey‘s “You are God” featuring Chigozie Achugo.

Last week, the former governor decried the invasion of his warehouse in the state and seizure of some items by officials of the state government.

In a statement issued by Okorocha’s aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, said the items discovered at the warehouse were not owned by the government.

“We have also read what the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Simeon Ibegbulem, said were recovered from the warehouse. It was interesting to read that what the commissioner said they recovered from the warehouse were streetlight accessories and cartons of tiles and without his disclosing how he arrived at the conclusion that those items were owned by the government,” part of the statement read.

Owning to the controversies, the viral video was met by mix reactions.

Nollywood actress Victoria Iyama who is quite controversial on social media said:

“Which God😂😂😂 Everyone is singing to a camera…”

Prince Eze Ugo, another user also backed Iyama’s view. He said:

“Praising God for looting Imo state dry? Religion has finally destroyed Africa.”

Uba Osinachi said: “To worship is good oo! But Rochas ibu ezigbo onye ori.”

Others are of the opinion that the ex-governor did his very best while in service. Eze Rino Ifeandigonma thought he is the 2nd best governor of Imo state.

“The best Governor Imo state has ever had, after Governor Sam Mbakwa.”

Judging by the mix reaction from the video as Rochas Okorocha worships God, Prince Ndubuisi Darlington, another Instagram user is of the opinion that God will be a better judge. He left a simple comment saying:

“Let GOD be the judge.”
