Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, has revealed that the popular Christian movie Agbara Nla played a significant role in inspiring him to begin his journey into ministry more than three decades ago.
Speaking in a recent video, Pastor Idowu reflected on his early Christian experience and recalled how the influential movie impacted him when he was much younger.
According to him, watching Agbara Nla gave him a deeper desire to pursue the things of God and ultimately contributed to his decision to dedicate his life to ministry.
The revelation comes as Agbara Nla, the iconic Christian film produced by veteran filmmaker Mike Bamiloye, continues to generate renewed interest more than three decades after its original release.

The film was first released in 1993 after the vision for the project had begun several years earlier.
Agbara Nla, which was later released in English as The Ultimate Power, became one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian films, focusing on themes of spiritual warfare, faith, prayer and the power of God.
Pastor Idowu’s comments highlight the wider impact the movie had on a generation of Nigerian Christians, particularly young people who encountered Christian storytelling through films produced by ministries such as Mount Zion.
His own ministry journey eventually led to the establishment of Harvesters International Christian Centre. The church’s official history states that its vision began with Pastor Idowu and that the ministry, which started with just a handful of people, has since expanded to multiple locations in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States.
