– CAN Cautions Isaac Omolehin Over Remarks On Clerics

The Christian Association of Nigeria cautions the founder of Word Assembly Ministry, Rev. Isaac Omolehin, over recent public comments in which he referenced prominent church leaders and questioned leadership structure within Nigerian Christianity.

In a statement released on Friday, CAN expressed concern over what it described as unwarranted and divisive comments made by the cleric, warning that such statements could undermine unity within the Christian community.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, said the association would not tolerate statements capable of undermining the unity of the church.

“We state, in the clearest possible terms: these allegations are entirely false, unfounded, and deliberately misleading,” the statement read.

CAN further urged clerics across denominations to refrain from making inflammatory remarks about fellow ministers, stressing that the Christian faith thrives on love, unity, and cooperation.

CAN concluded by reaffirming its commitment to fostering harmony within the Christian community and promoting peaceful coexistence among religious groups in Nigeria.
