– Charles Soludo Detain Fake Pastors In Anambra State

Governor Charles Soludo detain Fake Pastors as part of the state government’s ongoing crackdown on fraudulent spiritual activities.

Soludo made the disclosure during the All Knights Day celebration held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Awka, where he stressed that his administration is committed to sanitizing the state and protecting residents from exploitation disguised as religion.

According to the governor, the arrested individuals are currently assisting security agencies with investigations and have allegedly made useful confessions regarding their activities.

“The action forms part of our mission to build a new Anambra free from deception and social vices,” Soludo stated while addressing worshippers at the event.

The governor also warned self-acclaimed prophets and pastors against staging fake miracles and exploiting vulnerable citizens for financial gain, insisting that the state would no longer tolerate deceptive religious practices.

Charles Soludo, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), currently serves as the Governor of Anambra State under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He assumed office in 2022 and was sworn in for a second term in 2026.

The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians applauding the move as a bold step against fake spirituality, while others questioned how the government intends to determine who qualifies as a “fake pastor.”

Soludo further reiterated that his administration remains focused on promoting moral values, accountability, and social reform across Anambra State.
