– Benny Hinn Admits To False Prophecies – Asks For Forgiveness
Televangelist Benny Hinn publicly admits to false prophecies he delivered during his ministry, stating some were inaccurate and has asked followers to forgive him.
Speaking in an interview, Hinn reflected on what he described as two of his biggest regrets in ministry: embracing prosperity gospel teachings and speaking prophecies that he later concluded “were not from the Lord.”
“There were times when I thought God had showed me something that He wasn’t showing me, and I spoke it out,” Hinn said, adding that some of those prophetic declarations were inaccurate.
The veteran preacher acknowledged that he made mistakes and appealed to supporters for forgiveness.

“For that, of course, I ask people to forgive me. I’m just human and made mistakes like that,” he said.
Hinn also reiterated his decision to distance himself from prosperity gospel practices, saying he no longer wants to be associated with what he described as the “gimmickry” that has characterized parts of his past ministry.
The comments have sparked renewed discussion across the Christian community, with some praising his willingness to acknowledge past errors while others have questioned whether further accountability is needed.
Hinn first publicly criticized prosperity gospel fundraising methods in 2019, saying he would no longer place a monetary price on the Gospel. His latest remarks further reinforce that shift, as he said his focus is now on teaching the Bible as faithfully as possible.
