The cleric noted that universities and research institutions have a critical role to play in generating ideas that can support intelligence gathering, conflict prevention, peacebuilding and the application of technology to enhance national security.
He also encouraged governments at all levels to create an enabling environment where research findings can be translated into practical policies and programmers that address the root causes of insecurity.
Adeboye expressed optimism that with greater collaboration between academia, government and other stakeholders, Nigeria could develop innovative strategies to tackle insecurity and promote sustainable peace and development.
He urged scholars to see their research as a tool for national transformation, emphasizing that the country’s future depends on the collective contributions of its intellectual community in solving pressing societal challenges.
