Nigerian comedian Stanley Chibunna, popularly known as Funnybone, has sparked conversations after sharing his thoughts on the relationship between faith, childhood trauma, and mental health.

Speaking in a recently circulated video, the comedian said becoming born again does not automatically erase the effects of childhood trauma or long-standing behavioral challenges.

He stressed that while spiritual transformation is important, some emotional and psychological wounds also require intentional healing and, in some cases, professional therapy.

Funnybone expressed hope that more Christians would recognize the importance of addressing unresolved trauma instead of assuming that every emotional struggle disappears immediately after conversion.

According to him, faith and therapy should not be viewed as opposing approaches but can work together in the healing process.

His remarks have generated mixed reactions across social media. While many users agreed that emotional healing and mental health support deserve more attention within the Christian community, others emphasized the transformative power of faith and divine healing.

The discussion has added to the growing conversation around mental health awareness, with many believers advocating a balanced approach that embraces both spiritual growth and appropriate psychological care where needed.
