– Ezekiel Dachomo’s Family Killed – United State Demands Justice

The United States react as Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo’s family were killed, describing the attack as horrific and calling on Nigerian authorities to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

In a statement issued by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs, Washington expressed condolences to the bereaved family and voiced concern over the continued violence affecting Christian communities and other vulnerable populations in Nigeria’s Middle Belt.

“The United States strongly condemns the horrific killing of members of Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo’s family in Plateau State, Nigeria,” the bureau said, adding that the persistent attacks in the region remain deeply alarming.

The U.S. urged the Nigerian government to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable communities, strengthen security measures, and ensure that those responsible for the killings are identified, prosecuted, and held accountable under the law.

It also reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to working with Nigeria to address terrorism, violent extremism, and insecurity.

The condemnation follows the killing of nine members of Rev. Dachomo’s extended family, including a two-month-old baby, during an attack on the Kum community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State on July 12. Rev. Dachomo, a regional leader of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has previously raised concerns over repeated threats to his life and attacks targeting his family.
