– Lady Demands ordination From Enoch Adeboye At Convention
A dramatic moment unfolded during the 74th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) after a woman interrupted Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s service and approached the altar, asking to be ordained.
The incident occurred during a service at Redemption City, Ogun State, as Adeboye was ministering to a large congregation.
In a video of the incident circulating online, the woman could be seen making her way towards the altar before explaining to Adeboye that she believed she was supposed to be ordained.
According to her account, she had attended the church the previous day because she believed her ordination was scheduled to take place there. However, after what she described as a realisation that the location was not the right venue, she returned the following day, convinced that her ordination was meant to happen in the presence of Adeboye.

The unexpected interruption attracted the attention of the congregation as the woman stood before the RCCG General Overseer and made her request.
Rather than immediately having her removed, Adeboye allowed her to come closer and listened to her explanation.
After hearing her out, the revered cleric prayed for the woman and committed her situation into the hands of God.
Adeboye, however, explained that matters concerning ordination could not simply be handled on demand, noting that he would have to receive direction from God and that no official letter concerning her ordination had been presented to him.
He subsequently told the woman; “Your time will come. Go home.”
The incident ended with Adeboye asking the congregation to shout “Hallelujah” before continuing with the service.

Adeboye later used the unusual encounter to encourage worshippers to take their concerns directly to God and persist in prayer concerning their needs.
While some questioned whether she was right to interrupt a major church service, others focused on Adeboye’s response, particularly his decision to listen to her, pray for her and send her away peacefully rather than publicly rebuking her.
