– Prophet Isa Blasts Sani Jingir For Calling Christians Infidels
Prophet Isa El-Buba, has strongly condemned Islamic cleric Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir over comments in which Christians were reportedly referred to as “infidels.”
The cleric’s remarks, contained in a video circulating widely online, have sparked controversy and renewed concerns over religious rhetoric and its potential impact on Nigeria’s already delicate interfaith relations.
Reacting to the comments, El-Buba expressed disappointment that a religious leader could use such language against fellow Nigerians, insisting that Christians and Muslims have equal rights to live and worship in the country.

Speaking in a video response, the Christian cleric questioned what would happen if Christian leaders adopted similar language against Muslims.
El-Buba argued that Nigeria belongs to all its citizens, regardless of their faith, and warned against statements capable of deepening religious divisions.
He also drew attention to the security and economic challenges confronting communities across northern Nigeria, including banditry, poverty, drug abuse and other forms of criminality.
According to him, religious leaders should be focused on helping to address these problems rather than making statements that could further divide the population along religious lines.
Prophet Isa Blasts Sani Jingir
The preacher challenged Muslims who disagreed with Jingir’s comments to speak out, stressing that silence in the face of inflammatory rhetoric could allow religious tensions to escalate.
El-Buba further maintained that no religious group should claim exclusive ownership of Nigeria, saying the country is home to people of different faiths, ethnicities and backgrounds.
The controversy comes amid renewed political discussions ahead of the 2027 general elections, with religion expected to remain a major factor in political debates.
