– Femi Dapson Quits Winners Job For Make More Money
Nigerian music video producer and filmmaker, Femi Dapson, has opened up about the bold career decision that saw him leave a comfortable position at Winners’ Chapel and relocate to Lagos in pursuit of greater opportunities.
Dapson made the revelation while speaking with media personality Chude Jideonwo on the WithChude podcast, where he reflected on his early career, his time working closely with Bishop David Oyedepo and the difficult transition that followed his decision to leave the church.
According to the filmmaker, he spent about three years working at the church, where he served as an assistant to the secretary and eventually attained a senior position despite not having a university degree.
Dapson said his position gave him access to influential people and opportunities that many young Nigerians would consider enviable.

“I had worked with Bishop Oyedepo for three years. I was the assistant to his secretary,” he said.
However, rather than remain in what he described as a comfortable environment, Dapson said he became concerned that he was settling too early in his career.
“I had to leave Winners, honestly. I was like, if I stay here, I’ll get comfortable,” he explained.
He recalled wearing suits and ties, meeting prominent personalities and even presidents through his work at the church.
“At the time, I was still in O’level. I was already working at the highest level of church. No university degree. I was already getting too comfortable,” he said.

Dapson said he eventually told himself that he needed to leave the comfort zone and pursue bigger financial opportunities.
“I was like, omo, don’t get carried away. You need to go and make money. And then I left. I came to Lagos,” he recalled.
