Following her passing, the song continued to take shape over the next six years as Kasope processed grief, navigated loss, and continued to hold on to his faith. The verses and bridge emerged through that journey, giving the song a depth shaped by lived experience.

Kasope (Kasopefoluwa Sote) is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and recording artist. His music blends soulful melodies, contemporary gospel, heartfelt worship, and honest storytelling, drawing from faith and personal experiences.
A passionate vocalist and songwriter, Kasope has written close to 100 songs and was a founding member of the gospel group Made In Heaven, where he contributed as a vocalist, songwriter, and creative director.
