I’ve learnt not to be afraid and now I’m getting more comfortable and better at handling the camera. These days, when I think of falling, I laugh at myself and it calms me down.
I’ve only gone blank in an exam once – Further Maths SS2 – I dont remember anytime after that. I might forget stuff, but I never go blank. Before my ‘blank’ incident, I just got some uncertain news about my friends.
That day, as I climbed the camera stand, the first thought that came to my mind was falling off of it (I’m a bit uncomfortable with heights). I knew what to do but I was blank. I stood there for a while and tried to do what was needed except I couldn’t, because I was jiltery, scared and blank.
FEAR PARALYSES…
It wasn’t the first time I was working with the camera but this time, I was so scared and panicky that all I knew blanked out of my mind and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remember.
Many people know what to do but are scared. Fear will paralyse you. Have you found yourself in a situation where you suddenly blanked out, leaving you useless and helpless? Not because you are incompetent but because of fear?
The good news is this;
“God has not given us the spirit of FEAR, but the spirit of LOVE and a SOUND MIND” – 2 Timothy 1:7
You’re capable of anything you put your heart to as long as it’s in God. So my love, it’s time to let go of fear and watch yourself bloom ever so beautifully.
