Senior pastor and marriage counselor, Sarah Omakwu, has sparked conversations on marriage, intimacy, and family life following her remarks discouraging married couples from living separately for extended periods.
Speaking during a recent teaching on marriage and relationships, Omakwu emphasized the importance of physical intimacy in sustaining healthy marital relationships, arguing that prolonged separation between spouses can create unnecessary challenges.
According to the pastor, marriage was designed to provide companionship, emotional support, and physical intimacy, all of which are difficult to maintain when couples reside in different locations for long periods.

She noted that while certain circumstances may make temporary separation unavoidable, couples should prioritize reunification whenever possible.
