– US Strikes Saved Christians From Killings In Nigeria – Donald Trump
United States (US) President Donald Trump has said recent American military strikes in Nigeria saved Christians from mass killing.
Speaking at an event in Washington over the weekend, Trump said the operation targeted the leadership of an extremist group responsible for attacks on Christian communities, adding that the strikes significantly weakened the group’s ability to carry out further violence.
According to Trump, the military action “saved thousands of Christian lives” and sent a clear message that attacks on innocent civilians would not be tolerated.

The comments come months after the United States carried out coordinated strikes against Islamic State-linked militants in northwestern Nigeria in what both Washington and Abuja described as a joint counterterrorism operation.
The U.S. military said multiple militants were killed during the operation, while Nigeria said the action was conducted with its cooperation as part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism.
The US president has repeatedly accused extremist groups in Nigeria of targeting Christians and has argued that stronger military action was necessary to prevent further attacks.
Nigerian authorities have consistently maintained that the country’s security challenges affect both Christians and Muslims and are driven by a combination of terrorism, banditry and communal conflicts rather than the systematic targeting of one religious group.
Security challenges remain a major concern in several parts of northern Nigeria, where attacks by armed groups continue despite ongoing military operations by Nigerian security forces and international partners.
